We've seen a ton of devices with different model numbers that could end up being a Motorola Nexus 6, and today you can add the Moto XT1112 to that growing list. The XT1112 showed up in Zauba's database, which is an import/export system that tracks devices coming in and out of India. Interestingly, though, the description for that particular model is “SHAMU PHONES (PROTOTYPE) (FOR DEMO PURPOSE) MOTOROLA XT1112″ which could just mean that particular model is the version that's going to be sold in India. Or, it could be something else entirely. At this point it's anyone's guess.
On top of this XT1112, there are multiple other models for the new Moto G devices, the Moto X+1, and that rumored new Droid Turbo that would inevitably end up on Verizon. I guess Motorola proves that the best way to keep your devices relatively secret in the digital age is to flood benchmarks and internal systems with as many different model numbers as possible. Maybe they'll clear some of this up at their event in September.
Are you still excited for a potential Motorola Nexus?
