Verizon Adds 14 New 4G LTE Markets and Will Expand in 4 Others

It appears that Verizon is pushing towards its goal of a country wide 4G network by 2013 by adding 14 new markets tomorrow and expanding service in 4 others.

The New Markets are:

  • Little Rock, Ark.
  • Savannah, Ga.
  • Cedar Rapids, Iowa
  • Des Moines, Iowa
  • Lexington, Ky.
  • Starkville, Miss.
  • Kansas City, MO
  • Springfield/Branson, Mo.
  • Lincoln, Neb.
  • Orange County, N.Y.
  • Greater Providence, R.I.
  • Rapid City, S.D.
  • Roanoke, Va.
  • Appleton/Oshkosh, Wis.

Markets that are expanding include:

  • Louisville, Ky.
  • Grand Rapids, Mich.
  • Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn.
  • Pittsburgh, Pa.

So those with 4G LTE phones in those areas, it looks like your wait for blazing fast speeds is almost over. For those in the expansion areas, your coverage is about to get better.
