It's late June and that means that summer is in full swing. Instead of spending those sunny clear weekends cooped up at home, you can take a trip to the beach to enjoy the warm weather (while it is still here), get a tan, and maybe take a dip in the ocean.
If you live on the US East Coast, don't forget to take your phone along, and don't worry, you won't struggle to access the internet — at least as a Verizon user. The major mobile carrier is getting to work improving the 5G capabilities across major East Coast beaches so you can stay connected for as long as you need.
East Coast Summergoers Get To Enjoy Even Better 5G Coverage To Post Those Hot Summer Pics
June is almost over and that means July, the heart of summer, is about to bear down on all of us like seagulls taking aim for your hotdog. There are going to be a lot of people going to the beach and if you've ever been to a packed beach, you might know that the internet there isn't always the very best when you're on your cellular data.
The good thing is that Verizon knows this and is planning to make your summer even better by upgrading the 5G networks all along the US East Coast. That means that your Instagram followers or Facebook friends won't need to wait until you get back home before they can see those pictures of you showing your hot new summer bod.
The Jersey Shore is one of the parts of the coast that has seen a major increase in data usage, so Verizon has just completed making big upgrades to that part of the coast. Areas that have been improved on include Sea Girt, Lavallette, Seaside Park, and Ortley Beach; with Brick and Asbury Park expecting some boosts too.
Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head in South Carolina have been shown some love too. In numbers, the former has gotten 20 new small cells and has had 5G capacity added to 31 of the existing cells. The latter has gotten a brand-new cell site as well as 5G capacity added to 8 of the existing cells. Verizon is clearly doing a lot to make your beach experience perfect this summer.
Not Sure If Verizon's 5G Is Worth It For You? Just Give It A Free Trial
I understand if you're not sure that you want to pay the extra cash each month to take advantage of the full extent of 5G that Verizon offers. Fortunately, if your phone has eSIM support, you can actually give it a test run using that. You'll be able to use the network for 30 days with unlimited talk and text, and you'll even get access to 5G Ultra Wideband, as long as your phone supports it.
We've covered how to give this a test run, so you can check this article out for more details. Make up your mind so you're not the only one on the beach stuck using LTE!
