Disney+ lets you watch top movies and TV shows like Percy Jackson and the Olympians, including classics like Cinderella and Pinocchio. There's no free plan, so you have to commit to a monthly subscription to enjoy all the entertainment. But, Verizon is offering you six months of Disney+ premium subscription at no cost.
The mobile carrier has partnered with Disney to bring an affordable streaming experience to your screen, and it comes without ads. Here's how you become eligible.
Experience Disney+ with a Verizon Unlimited upgrade
Verizon has announced a sweet deal for both new and existing myPlan customers. You'll get six months of the Disney Bundle subscription for free and with no advertisement. The offer will become available on April 18th, and also includes the recently added Hulu and ESPN+ streaming services. However, they'll come with ads.
You become eligible if you upgrade to a Verizon Unlimited plan, whether you're a new or existing member. The qualifying Unlimited plans include Unlimited Ultimate and Unlimited Plus. Verizon made no mention of the Unlimited Welcome and Welcome Unlimited, so they're not supported. However, they are eligible if you get the Disney Bundle outside promotion. Also, you need to be 18 years or older.
Normally, the Bundle costs $18.99 per month. But with Verizon, you get six months of free viewing experience and then pay $10 afterward. So, you're saving $8 monthly for the remainder of the year. After the six-month discount, you'll continue paying the regular retail price of $18.99. However, you can cancel at any time.
Streaming cost savings like no other mobile carrier
Verizon prides itself on helping save costs with the Disney Bundle perk. It says, “No other carrier provides customers with this six-month “on us” offer”. You may be wondering how much you'll keep to yourself when you opt-in. We did the calculation for you.
You're saving $113.94 by not paying the regular price of $18.99 per month for six months. Then, by paying $10 per month for the remaining 6 months, you're saving an additional $53.94 compared to the regular price. In total, you're saving $167.88.
By bundling your Verizon mobile plan with Verizon Home Internet, you can save up to $300 annually on your internet bill. It's a great way to maximize your savings and enjoy the benefits of both services.
Cancellation means goodbye to Disney Bundle perk
If you cancel your free Disney Bundle perk or switch to an ineligible Verizon plan at any point in the promotional period, you'll lose it and cannot opt in again. Verizon says that it's one offer for one phone line. It's possible you can enjoy the perk with a different line.
If you're already subscribed to Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN+, getting the offer won't automatically swap out your current subscriptions. You may need to monitor your subscriptions to avoid having multiple ones and getting charged for each separately.
Verizon has provided an undoubtedly mouthwatering offer. Strangers to Disney+ may want to use a free trial to see if it's worth it. Unfortunately, the streaming service doesn't provide one and doesn't support password sharing. So you don't get a preview with someone else's account. Verizon's deal may still be appealing to longtime fans who already know and love the content Disney has provided over the years.
