It’s all too frequent that one has to make the choice between selecting a good smart phone and a phone that can take a beating. Sure, you can get a case, but is that going to help you when you have to jump in a lake to avoid a swarm of mutant killer bees? Meet the Casio G’zOne Commando, a beast of a phone coming to Verizon later this month. The Commando features every sort of resistance you would expect and more with rain, immersion, shock, dust, vibration, humidity, salt fog, solar radiation, altitude, and low and high temperatures, all at military 810g specifications. It also includes some software for you outdoorsy types with a compass,a pedometer, tide charts, a thermometer, sun/moon schedules, and a even a star gazer application. What’s even better is that the device still sports some impressive tech specifications with wifi b/g/n, Bluetooth, a 5-MP camera, and hotspot capability, allowing you to get some office work done in the middle of the wilderness. The Commando will be coming to Big Red on April 28th for $199.99 with a 2 year contract. Any suburban commandos out there itching to get this beast? Let us know in the comments!
