Lenovo has announced several new tablets ahead of IFA, with some of them aiming pretty hard at the budget segment of Android tablets. The entire E series of tablets are cheap with a few useful tricks, making a serious competitor to Amazon's Fire tablets.
First up is the Lenovo Tab E7, a 7-inch tablet powered by Android Oreo Go Edition and a MediaTek CPU. It's only claiming 5 hours of battery life, which is honestly pretty weak for something that's mostly designed for media consumption, but hey, it's only $70.
Stepping up to $100 lands you at the Tab E8, which has (you guessed it) an 8-inch display, another MediaTek CPU, and Dolby Atmos support. Battery life clocks in around 10 hours, so for someone that's going to be doing a lot of Sling TV and Netflix, this guy's probably your best bet.

Lastly the Lenovo Tab E10 runs $130 for a 10-inch HD display, a Snapdragon 210 CPU, and Dolby Atmos, although Lenovo doesn't list battery life here. Once again, probably a great media tablet but I wouldn't expect much more.
On the higher end of the scale, Lenovo has the Tab M10 that's being marketed as a family tablet for cord-cutting households, packing in an octa-core Snapdragon processor, Dolby Atmos support, and a 10.1-inch full HD display. There's no pricing info for this one, however.
The Lenovo Tab P10 is their premium offering with a dual-glass design and all-metal framing, thinner bezels, and four speakers for a dynamic audio experience. There's a fingerprint scanner baked in and it sounds like the hardware will support heavier usage a little bit better. Again, no pricing.
Here's what we know about availability:
- Lenovo Tab E7 bundled with a back cover starts at $69.99, expected to be available starting in October 2018 exclusive to www.walmart.com.2
- Lenovo Tab E8 starts at $99.99 and is available now in Walmart stores.2
- Lenovo Tab E10 starts at $129.99, expected to be available starting in October 2018 in Walmart stores and select retailers.2
- Lenovo Tab M10 and Lenovo Tab P10 are expected to be available for pre-order starting this winter on www.amazon.com. 2
So you've got awhile to decide before they're all officially on shelves. And who knows, maybe something at IFA this year will catch your eye anyway.
