Perhaps sensing an opportunity to capitalize on the backlog created by demand for the Pixel phones from Google, Motorola launched a special offer to try to entice buyers to opt for one of their Moto Z devices instead. Motorola is offering a special promo code for visitors to their site that can then be used to get $150 off on the purchase of a Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Force Droid or a Moto Z. The nice thing about the offer is that it is not rebate you have to wait for or a reduction in monthly payments, it just a nice, immediate discount off the purchase price.
According to the Motorola site, the phones do have to be purchased directly from Motorola. This means in the case of the Moto Z Droid and Moto Z Force Droid, which are Verizon only devices, you do not want to go down to a carrier store to try to make your purchase. Purchases have to be made no later than 10:59 am CT on November 18th while supplies last, so you have about three weeks to make a decision assuming Motorola does not run out of devices.
With the discounts, this makes the prices of the devices:
- Moto Z Droid -> $474
- Moto Z Force Droid -> $570
- Moto Z -> $550
