Cricket Wireless bumps up data on $50/mo plan

Although its priced the same, Cricket Wireless’ $50/mo plan just got way better.

The prepaid carrier, which is owned by AT&T, announced a temporary raise in data for its plan that once featured 5GB of high-speed data. Now that plan boasts 8GB of high-speed data at the same all-in-one price. It’s a 60% boost that could actually be $45/mo if you enroll in Cricket Wireless’ auto-pay option.

Tiffany Baehman, Cricket Wireless’ chief marketing officer, said the following about the value-driven decision:

“Today’s mobile lifestyle requires more data access than ever before, and Cricket continues to focus on finding ways to delight our customers by giving them more for less.”

Both new and existing customers are eligible for this promotion by going to Cricket Wireless’ website, visiting one of its retail stores, or calling support. Since an end date was not provided, don’t wait too long to switch over to the new 8GB for $50/mo plan.
