Legend of Mushroom has tons of in-game skins and items for you to collect, changing your Shroomie's appearance to your liking.

The Back Accessory is one of them, and just like the others, it offers stat boosts that empower you further. These can be the difference between winning and losing, so if you want to learn more, read on to find out.

Back Accessory Attribute Boosts

In Legend of Mushroom, every Shroomie is built differently despite sharing the same build. For your Back Accessory, it increases your Shroomie's three (3) base stats depending on how much each has been refined (upgraded), which are:

  • Base Attack
    • Represented by the blue Feather
  • Base HP
    • Represented by the red/ orange Feather
  • Base Defense
    • Represented by the green Feather

If you want to add more points to your character's three (3) primary attributes to specialize them in a specific way, you need to invest Feather Coins in these three (3) aspects.

Right now, Feather Coins can only be acquired by beating the Dark Trials' stages under the Dungeon tab, which we'll be looking at later.

Besides improving your stats, a Back Accessory can also be worn as an in-game cosmetic on your Shroomie. However, only three (3) choices are readily available for free-to-play (F2P) characters, and each is only unlocked after all three (3) Feathers have been leveled up to certain requirements.

Back Accessory Skins

As shared earlier, your Back Accessory can be worn as actual in-game skins on your character.

You can access them by:

  • Opening the Back Accessory section from the main auto-battle screen.
  • Exploring your character's “Appearance” under your avatar's profile at the top-left corner.

Depending on which option you follow, the Back Accessory menu will be displayed differently, but visiting it directly from the main idle screen is the best way (provides in-depth options regarding your Back Accessory choices).

If you opt to change your Back Accessory from your avatar's “Appearance”, they're found under the “Wings” section within “Others”. The name change might be a localization oversight by Joy Nice Games, but it's essentially the same thing (a Back Accessory occupies the same slot as a Wing cosmetic).

By looking at the Back Accessory of a player, you can already gauge their presumed Power Level because the rarer the player is wearing, the more improved their stats are.

The first Back Accessory skin is the Raccoon Tail, unlocked easily by getting all Feathers to Level 10.

The Wolf Tail is a bit harder to get, requiring all Feathers to be at Level 60 for you to obtain it.

The Fox Tail is the grindiest; you'll need to level up all Feathers to Level 120 before you can equip this beautiful cosmetic on your back.

How To Enhance The Back Accessory

As mentioned previously, the only way to enhance (level up) your Feathers is by collecting Feather Coins from defeating the Dark Trials. To access this specific Dungeon, you only need to click on the Dungeon tab and scroll down towards the bottom.

Dark Trials (Dungeon)

In the Dark Trials, you have to face the corresponding player-like Bosses that are changed daily. For example, today you might be squaring off against a Darklord, while tomorrow brings in the Sacred Hunter next.

Additionally, the Boss becomes tougher after you've beaten them repeatedly, all the way up to five (5) stars. Once you've defeated all of them – getting all the Feather Coins in the process – you can reset the difficulty locked behind a necessary paywall, which can be a minor stumbling block for F2P Shroomies hoping to grow faster.

In retrospect, though, the Dark Trials is a good way for you to practice against different Awakened Classes before jumping directly into the competitive Arena. So, it's recommended that you do it every day to get an idea of how to counter different in-game Classes and their kits.

Back Accessory Talents & Morphs

Besides leveling your Back Accessory, you can also enjoy various perks from its diversified Talent trees. These include buffing your other attributes, like Stun or Evasion (depending on your chosen path).

Your preferred Talents will truly define your Shroomie from the others in the game, but getting those rare Divine Feather Coins to be used here is another headache entirely.

Other than that, you can Morph your Back Accessory into other types of skins, and each has its unique ability this time around, directly impacting gameplay. Some might say they're pay-to-win (P2W) but we'll confirm that in just a little bit.

Talents

Under Talents, there are three (3) primary options you need to choose from, each being:

  • Fury
    • Enhancing stats relevant to the Martial Sage and Warbringer, such as Counter and Pal Damage.
  • Archery
    • Strengthens attributes important for the Sacred Hunter and Plume Monarch, like Critical Damage and Combo Damage.
  • Sorcery
    • Improves stats utilized for the Prophet and Darklord, primarily Stun and Skill Damage.

Each perk on your chosen Talent tree requires a previous one to be leveled up to a certain point, varying from one to the other. To do this, you'll need to spend Divine Feather Coins instead, which are the more exclusive Back Accessory currency in Legend of Mushroom.

To get Divine Feather Coins, you'll need to beat all five (5) Dark Trials stages per difficulty. For example:

  • Defeating Difficulty 1-5 (Difficulty 1, 5 Stars) rewards you with 2 Divine Feather Coins, but not beforehand.

You can actually buy Divine Feather Coins from your Family Shop (guild) too, but they are only available for Families at Level 7 or higher.

So, not only are they harder to acquire, but you'll get small amounts of them as well, ensuring only the most dedicated Legend of Mushroom players get rewarded for their perseverance and efforts.

Morphs

Finally, the Morph section is where you transform your Back Accessory into one of a few extraordinary cosmetics in the game.

Unlike the Tails, these Back Accessories grant passive buffs that directly play into different character builds, making them extremely powerful.

That being said, each can only be unlocked through specific in-game events and can't be bought from anywhere else, making them more desired.

You'll find them on specific wheel-based lottery chances during certain events, and luck plays a major role in getting them. Still, you can improve your odds by purchasing event-specific currencies to spin the wheel more often.

What Is A Back Accessory In Legend Of Mushroom?

A Back Accessory is an extra gameplay component that bolsters your character's primary stats, each being the Base Attack, Base HP, and Base Defense. Upon meeting certain criteria, a Back Accessory can be changed into equipable cosmetics on your Shroomie, making them more appealing.

Back Accessories are another end-game grind for Legend of Mushroom players to look forward to on a daily, keeping the community consistently engaged.

Conclusion

Understanding and managing your Back Accessory is crucial to making your character stronger. It's among the multiple ways to empower yourself against others in the game, especially the PvP Arena.

So, if you haven't already, make sure to start collecting those Feather Coins right now! It'll be worth it in the long run.
