Say hello to the $228 Nord N300 5G which is the very first OnePlus smartphone to launch in the US to be powered by a MediaTek chipset. In this case, it's the Dimensity 810 SoC that is providing the grunt for the successor to the popular Nord N200 5G which is expected to achieve 1.5 million sales in the US by year-end.

Besides having MediaTek's Dimensity 810 chipset under the hood, the N300 5G sports a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. One thing to note is that the display resolution has been downgraded from FHD+ to just HD+ for some reason.

There's 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage (up to 1TB), a 3.5mm audio jack, a MicroSD card slot, and the same 5,000mAh battery which now supports 33W fast charging. A 33W wall charger is included in the box, so there's no need to start searching for a compatible charging unit. The fingerprint sensor is incorporated into the power button on the side of the phone.

The main camera has been upgraded to a 48MP sensor which also features EIS and there's one of those 2MP depth cameras accompanying it, while the 8MP selfie camera resides in the central punch-hole on the display. The Nord N300 5G launches running the latest possible version of Android, namely OxygenOS 13 which is based on Android 13.

Finally, the OnePlus N300 5G will go on sale for $228 on November 3 only in the Midnight Jade colorway from T-Mobile and Metro.
