Samsung has announced a major upgrade to Samsung Care+, its official device protection service, rolling out across 17 European markets, including the UK. From January 29, the enhanced plan introduces broader coverage, longer protection periods, and significantly improved repair access for Galaxy smartphones, tablets, wearables, and PCs.

Samsung says the changes are a direct response to how people actually use their devices today — constantly connected, frequently travelling, and increasingly reliant on their tech. The revamped Samsung Care+ now removes several long-standing limitations while adding new layers of flexibility and reassurance.

Unlimited accidental damage repairs
One of the biggest upgrades is unlimited accidental damage cover. Knocks, drops, and spills are now covered without an annual repair cap, with all repairs carried out by Samsung-authorised technicians using genuine parts. Samsung has also simplified excess fees by applying a consistent cost regardless of the type or severity of damage.
Coverage at home and abroad
Samsung has removed the previous 60-day travel limit, meaning Samsung Care+ now offers seamless protection both in the UK and overseas. Claims can be submitted online or by phone 24/7, and customers are directed to the most convenient repair option available.
175 new walk-in repair locations
Samsung Care+ has expanded its physical repair network by 175 walk-in locations across Europe, with more planned. Whether at home or travelling, approved claims can be handled quickly at nearby Samsung-authorised service centres.
Send-in repair option
For customers who prefer not to visit a repair centre, Samsung Care+ also offers a send-in repair service, with organised collection and return to minimise downtime.
Longer Protection and Smarter Device Care
- Extended warranty support: Samsung Care+ now covers mechanical and electrical failures beyond the standard manufacturer warranty for the full duration of the policy.
- Free battery replacement: Devices with battery health dropping below 80% after the standard warranty period are eligible for a free battery replacement, helping extend device lifespan. All replacements undergo Samsung-certified performance testing during repair.
Flexible Payments and Optional Theft Cover

Customers can now choose a monthly payment plan for up to 60 months, with the freedom to cancel at any time. A fixed two-year upfront option is also available for those who prefer a one-off payment.
For added peace of mind, Samsung Care+ can be extended to include theft and loss protection. Once approved, replacement devices are dispatched within 48 hours, and Samsung Knox Guard is used to remotely block missing devices to protect personal data and prevent misuse.
