Reversal Showdown is here! For the next few days, step into the shoes of your enemies, and strategize the best monster lineup to beat different stages testing your wits.
It won’t be for nothing, though, because tons of rewards await you, including an exclusive circlet (headwear) unobtainable anywhere else!
How To Play Reversal Showdown
Deploy Monsters To Defeat Shroomie Bosses

As its name suggests, Legend of Mushroom’s Reversal Showdown lets you play as monster mobs instead. Your goal is to defeat all final-form Shroomies guarding three (3) lanes, and each difficulty is separated into three (3) distinct stages for you to overcome.
Gradually, each stage becomes increasingly hard to beat, but the eventual rewards are worth it. They range from Diamonds, Magic Lamp uses, Speed-Up Coupons, and even rare in-game Accessories too, boosting your own Shroomie’s potential growth!

Unlock Powerful Monsters For Battling

To counter Reversal Showdown’s more challenging levels, you’re provided with a good selection of monsters to call upon.
Initially, many of them are locked behind certain amounts of Chess Stones (event currency), and the more fearsome ones are only available after a few event days have passed.
It’s your task to mix and match them to achieve the best synergies. Armed with the ideal lineup, you’ll breeze through the event’s unique Shroomie class combinations with relative ease.
How To Beat Reversal Showdown
Assemble The Strongest Monster Lineup

As you might expect, the key to owning Reversal Showdown is to prepare the most formidable monster team available.
However, to achieve this, you need to be wise with your monster unlocks using the Chess Stones, particularly when saving them to unlock the more amazing ones, such as the Pyrodragon or Grumpy Bighead himself!
The practice is similar to deploying the best Pals for your character class, summoning them into battle every time they’re available.
Still, though it sounds easy on paper, it’s not so much in practice. As such, we’ve provided some nifty tips and tricks you might find useful:
Tips & Tricks
#1 Prioritize attacks on DPS-focused Shroomies (Bosses)

With three (3) different targets to aim for, you might be tempted to charge your monsters toward the squishiest Shroomie in battle. Don’t fall for that trap!
Always focus your effort on defeating the most dangerous foes first, such as a Sacred Hunter/ Shadow Hunter or Prophet/ Holy Guide. If you don’t, your mobs will only inflict minimal damage to the seemingly weak Shroomie because they’ve been bombarded heavily by the other more ruthless ones.
#2 Eliminate lanes one at a time (early stages)

Sometimes, you might consider spreading your attacks evenly, deploying different monsters in different lanes. In the beginning, this tactic fails almost every time because your mobs aren’t built to withstand punishments.
So, pushing your attacks on enemy foes one lane at a time is the best way to go during the initial stages. At the very least, another monster will always be there to replace the other that’s just been defeated, ensuring consistent DPS on the target Shroomie.
#3 Tanky monsters at the front

Always read every monster's details to distinguish their specialties. Once done, drop your highest-HP ones into battle first to soak up oncoming damages, protecting the more DPS-heavy units planned to be unleashed next.
#4 Line up the monsters based on preferred deployment order

Once the action starts, things can get a bit hectic, especially when each unit has its own cooldown (CD) timers to pay attention to.
To avoid confusion, set up your lineup by putting your tanks on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd spots, making it easy for you to distinguish who to get out as soon as possible depending on their CD.
After that, make your way to the subsequent 4th, 5th, etc. by putting the likeliest monster to be summoned in order. You’ll get the hang of things after just a few tries!
#5 Fast is best, range is great

When evaluating your units, choose those with the fastest Attack Speed (DPS) or Movement Speed (tank) first, each self-explanatory (faster attacks lead to more damage, quicker tanks reach foes faster to begin attacking).
Attacking Range is another important aspect because Boss Shroomies can attack from a distance, even for the supposed melee ones! Thus, getting monsters with Medium to Long attacking Ranges should be preferred.
#6 Use those Chess Stones selectively (save them when possible)!

Reversal Showdown’s Chess Stones aren’t infinite; you only have limited amounts of them to acquire and spend (unless you pay for more through in-game purchases).
As such, unlocking the ‘wrong’ units (monsters you won’t use) can be detrimental! Don’t worry about hoarding those Chess Stones if need be, especially when the better ones cost more of them anyway.
#7 Avoid rushing your monster placements (reduce misclicks)

While all the other advice involves strategic understanding, your finger responses should be on par too. Be conscious of your finger swipes to place monsters on your chosen lanes.
We’re guilty of misplacing our units on other lanes many times before, quickly swiping them from the lineup but inadvertently putting them slightly above or below our preferred lane, resulting in their quick demise and loss of DPS efficiency.
#8 Periodically check the Servant Chess

Make it a habit to frequently check the Servant Chess to oversee all the monsters available for Reversal Showdown, including those that are still locked.
You can plan which unit to get once you’ve accumulated enough Chess Stones, besides tweaking any weaknesses to your monsters’ current lineup.
What Is The Reversal Showdown Event?
Special Game Mode

Reversal Showdown is a time-limited game mode that lets you recruit up to ten (10) monsters to be deployed against three (3) AI-controlled Shroomie Bosses in three (3) lanes.
Basically, it’s the opposite of the Ruined Ancient City dungeon where you team up with two (2) other players to defend three (3) lanes from oncoming waves of enemy mobs.
Reversal Showdown starts immediately after the previous Hide and Seek event, running from April 5th to April 12th.
This is your chance to test distinct Bosses, like the Lamp Thief and Slime Lord, in actual gameplay, so don’t miss out!
