How to Earn Gold Fast
Like mentioned above, gold in Sea of Conquest is a universal currency that is needed to make significant progress through your Sea of Conquest playthrough.
Below, we've curated a list containing the various ways players can earn gold fast in Sea of Conquest.
Progress Through the Main Plot

The Main Plot is the equivalent of Sea of Conquest's campaign. By completing objectives and progressing through the Main Plot, players can earn large sums of gold.
The Main Plot screen can easily be reached by pressing on the tasks list on the upper left corner of your screen.
Discover New Ports

Exploring the map and discovering new ports will immediately reward players with resources and clear the fog of war surrounding that area. The most notable of these rewards being Treasure Clues.
Remember: Always press on the Golden Compass icon whenever you've entered a newly discovered port to clear the fog of war in the surrounding area.
Additionally, discovering a port will add that port to an expansive list that you can monitor for Sought after Goods. But more on that later.
Locate Hidden Treasures

Hidden Treasures can be found by heading to the locations shown by Treasure Clues, and using your Golden Compass Artifact to pinpoint the exact location of the hidden treasure.
These Hidden Treasures will often contain large amounts of rare goods that can be collected and sold for a high margin.
Undertake Commissions

Commissions can be signed at Ports in exchange for Pirate Seals. These commissions will typically involve transporting goods from one port to another and will reward the player with a corresponding amount of gold.
Complete Treasure of Tides

Treasure of the Tides is the weekly mission mechanic in Sea of Conquest. Completing objectives on this list will reward 20,000 – 400,000 gold to players at the end of every week, depending on the amount of objectives completed.

Explore Islands

Remember to check for yellow exclamation points on any islands that you're visiting, as these random events can sometimes give players opportunities to earn more gold.
These events will sometimes involve trading in your wood, iron, or resources for gold. Other times, the local merchants may offer you goods or speed-up tickets. The most we've ever received is 25,000 gold in exchange for some wood, so be warned that these events don't always award gold.
Smuggle Goods

You can visit black markets and buy goods using your smuggling warrants. Once done, go to any trading avenue at a nearby port and exchange the smuggled goods for a hefty amount of gold.
Buying and Selling Goods Step-by-Step Guide
Sea of Conquest gameplay revolves around buying, selling, and trading goods. However, all you need to do to make some fast gold is purchase specific goods at one port and then sail to a different one to sell those goods for a profit.
Below, we've created a step-by-step guide to walk you through the entire process!
Step 1. Check for Sought After Goods
Zoom all the way out of your in-game screen to reveal a castle icon on the top left side of your screen. Press on it to reveal a list of ports that you have discovered.

Above, we see Deer Town is looking for Taro, Butter, and Garlic.
Scroll through the list and press on any ports that have a green arrow to see a list of sought after goods that you can sell at that port for a larger profit.
Step 2. Buy Goods

Press on the sought after good that you would like to acquire, and then press on the arrow beside the Source Port to sail to that location.

Once you've arrived at the port, be sure to purchase as many of the sought after good as you can carry in your Cargo Hold to maximize your profits.
Step 3. Sail to Port

Open up your list of ports again by zooming all the way out of your screen and pressing on the Enter button to sail towards that port.
Step 4. Sell Goods

Sell your sought after good for a higher margin than how much you purchased it for.
In our case, we bought Garlic worth 40 gold each in Cutlass Harbor, and sold it for 240 gold each in Deer Town. Giving us a total profit of 200 gold for each bulb of Garlic that we bought and sold.
Tips and Tricks
Increase Your Cargo Capacity

To upgrade your Cargo Capacity, you need to build and/or upgrade Storage Rooms on your ship.
Expanding your Cargo Capacity will make earning gold faster since your ship can carry more goods to ports. Having a larger cargo capacity also means less trips back and forth from Hidden Treasures, which means being able to go to your next port of call much sooner.
Build More Oarsman Quarters

Oarsman Quarters are rooms that increase the sailing speed of your ship, decreasing the travel time between points A and B. By decreasing the total time it takes for your ship to go from one port to another, you can increase the total amount of gold you can make within a set amount of time.
Conclusion
Farming gold in Sea of Conquest is actually pretty simple once you know of the many options available to players. What's more important is the consistency at which you do it because prices for upgrading ships and restocking supplies will increase as your account gets further along.
