We don't tend to get too excited about iPhone accessories here at TalkAndroid, mostly because we are Android users and well, Apple. But sometimes we spot a new accessory and wish it was immediately available for Android smartphones and Clicks is a perfect example. Clicks for iPhone, as it's called, adds a physical keyboard to an iPhone which thus lets you maximize the display area available for sending messages or viewing content.
Clicks for iPhone
Co-founded by well-known YouTuber Michael Fisher, or Mr Mobile as you might know him, Clicks for iPhone brings something to Apple's smartphone that it has never had before – a physical keyboard.
It's a wild idea, but considering that Mr Fisher was a huge fan of BlackBerry phones and the corresponding TCL-licensed model of yesteryear, it shouldn't be a surprise that he's connected to the development of the Clicks for iPhone accessory.
And it makes sense, despite what Steve Jobs once said about how for smartphones to evolve, they would have to do that without physical keyboards. Physical keyboards on Android smartphones went by the wayside years ago unless you count the likes of Planet's Cosmo Communicator or the Titan Slim, neither of which offer a flagship experience.
The only downside I see is that the keyboard case makes the phone even longer which means your front trouser pocket will be under further strain. Personally? I could see the use of such an accessory for the smaller Android handsets such as the regular Galaxy S23 or Pixel 8.
What does it do?
According to the Clicks for iPhone website, the physical keyboard accessory brings the following benefits:
- Content First: Maximize your screen space for apps and content while you create with Clicks
- Make Your Statement: Type with speed and precision on a keyboard built for feel and performance
- Ultimate Control: Take action with access to iOS Shortcuts and voice input at the push of a button
- Easy On and Off: Add a compact, lightweight keyboard when needed, or leave it on all the time
The Clicks for iPhone accessory features a liquid silicon upper enclosure, a vegan leather rear panel, and the keyboard is a mix of polycarbonate and silicone materials with the keyboard domes being made of plated nickel. In case you are wondering, wireless charging is supported (if the phone has the feature in the first place), and the keyboard has a backlight that can be toggled on or off as needed.
Which iPhone Models Are Supported?
As mentioned, for the moment only certain iPhones are supported although other models (hopefully of the Android persuasion) could be added in the future. Right now, the iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro, and the big iPhone 15 Max Pro are compatible with the Clicks for iPhone keyboard case.
How much is it?
Well, it's not quite in the impulse buy bracket. Clicks for iPhone will set you back $139 – $159 although for a limited time, you'll also get a special founders badge, serial number, and exclusive VIP support. No, I don't think that Mr Mobile will be personally manning the support lines, but if he is, please say Hi to him for me.
The Clicks for iPhone is available in BumbleBee (yellow) and London Sky (grey), and you can pick one up directly from the Clicks website via the link below.
Samsung Kinda Did This Before
While Clicks for iPhone is something entirely new for those owning Apple smartphones, Samsung has attempted such an accessory before. Its QWERTZ Keyboard Cover for the Galaxy S7 (Seen above) which, unfortunately, covered almost half of the display and so didn't give the same visual freedom or convenience as the Clicks product.
Do You Want An Android Version?

yes please for the motorola G22
Yes please. S22 ULTRA…son S24 ULTRA…
Yes please for the Pixel 6 pro !!!!
S22 Plus. Would love one! It would help lots with the work I do on my phone and save carrying a back up ipad. It would revolutionise my life. Perhaps they could do one in black?
What is the phone protection like? I use a Spigen case to protect fir drops (after drink has been taken…)
Makes sense to make it for an iPhone since the sizes are rather defined but there would be too many different sizes for Android. Starting with Pixel and probably the Samsung S series first would be a good start.
YES PLEASE! Pixel 8 Pro PLEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSSEEEEE! Thank you.
