Threads

Having recently become available to access on the web, a new and possibly even more important feature has been confirmed to be on the way to Threads. Meta's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed via Threads that the X (formerly Twitter) competitor will soon gain the ability to search for keywords. As one of the most-wanted features, the addition of keyword search will bring much needed functionality to the Thread's search box. According to a statement given to TechCrunch, Meta plans to roll out keyword search to more English-speaking countries in ‘short order' after listening to community feedback and making further improvements.

We'll update the article just as soon as the keyword seach function rolls out to other regions. Now that keyword search is on the horizon, it shouldn't be much longer until hashtags are added to the service, although that may or may not be a good thing depending on your point of view.
