Missed out on getting one of Amazon's value-packed Fire tablets on Prime Day last month? While the Fire HD 8 Plus launched back in 2020 and Amazon may announce its replacement in the next month or so, the All-new Fire HD 10 Plus is as its title suggests, an all new model.

Down to just $59.99 from its RRP of $99.99, the Fire HD 8 Plus cost's just $15 more than Amazon's basic Fire 7 tablet but with a number of noticeable improvements such as 8-inch 720p display, 32GB of expandable storage, 3GB of RAM, better battery life, and dual speakers. It also supports Show Mode which is the full-screen Alexa experience that gives the Fire HD 8 Plus the ability to be used like an Echo Show device. There's even an audio jack present for those who prefer not to use wireless audio.
It's possible that Amazon is making space for the Fire HD 8 Plus replacement, but don't dismiss it too readily as it's still an extremely capable Android tablet, especially when you consider the $50 saving.
There's no telling how long the Fire HD 8 Plus tablet will hold at $59.99 before returning to its $109.99 RRP so it's probably best not to ponder too long before pulling the trigger.

Taking things up a notch is the All-new Fire HD 10 Plus which packs in a bright 10.1-inch display with FHD (1080p) resolution, at least 32GB of expandable storage, and 4GB of RAM. With 12-hours battery life, the tablet also sports wireless charging which is unusual on any device under $300 nevermind an affordable tablet. A 5MP camera resides on the rear panel while a 2MP sensor takes care of video calling on the front of the device. As with the Fire HD 8 Plus, the tablet can also be used as a full-screen Alexa display, much like the Echo Show devices.
