Every time Samsung prepares to launch its next batch of flagship smartphones the date of the event is leaked beforehand, despite the best efforts of the Korean company. This time, as it so often is, it's Evan Blass who revealed that the next Unpacked launch event where we expect to see the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 foldables make their debut will be held on August 10th.

Despite Samsung having his original Tweet taken down with a copyright strike, Blass reposted the leak with some tweaks so as to ‘obfuscate certain detail'. The mere fact that Samsung attempted to block the posting of the leak lends much in the way of credence to the August 10th date for the Unpacked launch event.

Previous leaks have pointed to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 being powered by Qualcomm's newest processor, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, and that the clamshell Flip 4 will sport a battery with increased capacity (3,700mAh). The Galaxy Z Fold 4 could also see a 128GB variant go on sale for the first time in the foldable series, which could make it more affordable than ever before although there's no telling on whether it might squeeze in under the $1,000 psychological threshold.

August 10th isn't too long away, which means we should see all manner of leaks, ever increasing in quality, during the upcoming weeks. What are you most looking forward to with Samsung's newest range of foldable phones?
