Acer’s new Chromebook Spin 514 convertible packs in AMD’s C-series processors, FHD displays, and military-grade durability

Acer has just announced the Chromebook Spin 514 which features AMD's newly launched Ryzen 5000 C-series of processors, a 14-inch FHD display, PCI NVME storage, WiFi 6 connectivity, and a pair of upward-facing speakers. Priced from $579 and scheduled to go on sale in North America during Q3 2022, Acer's Chromebook Spin 514 promises to be a thin, light, and durable offering for work, education, or play and will be available in a number of configurations.

The new 14-inch touchscreen convertible is powered by AMD's new Ryzen C-series 5000 processors with AMD Radeon graphics which are accompanied by 8/16GB of RAM and up to 256GB of NVMe storage. There's support for USI pens and the Chromebook also features an aluminum chassis.

The Chromebook Spin 514 has Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, as well as a pair of upward-firing speakers with DTS Audio support. If video conferencing is something you do regularly then you'll be interested to learn that the Chromebook Spin 514 has a Full-HD webcam with a privacy shade and flare-reduction feature.

The vanilla Chromebook Spin 514 starts from $579 for the 8/128GB configuration in the US and there's also a Chrome Enterprise edition which comes in a darker hue and starts from $899.
