NVIDIA has had a busy CES, but it's not all new graphics card announcements. The company had a joint announcement with AT&T that's two doses of good news for the cell carrier's customers.
AT&T 5G and GeForce Now
If you've been interesting in testing out NVIDIA's game streaming service, AT&T customers will be able to redeem a six month subscription to GeForce Now. It's the middle tier, which lets you stream games for up to six hours with ray tracing in some titles and 60fps when available, but not quite the new RTX 3080 option.
Still, though, it's worth $9.99 monthly or $49.99 for six months, so it's a solid addition to your phone bill that you're already paying.
To top that off, NVIDIA said they're working with AT&T to create a better network environment for customers streaming games over 5G. They didn't announce anything specific just yet, but the long term goal is to reduce latency for someone streaming GeForce Now over AT&T 5G.
You won't see that change today, but maybe by the end of your GeForce Now subscription you'll be able to see some network enhancements.
