Moto G Pure

Motorola has today expanded its Moto G family of affordable smartphones with the addition of the Moto G Pure that packs in a 6.5-inch HD+ display, 4,000mAh battery, and IP52 water resistance. That $160 also gets you a fingerprint sensor, audio jack, and a dual rear camera setup.

Powered by MediaTek'S Helio G25 octa-core processor, the Moto G Pure sports 3GB of RAM and has 32GB of expandable storage. That 6.5-inch HD+ display has 720p resolution (1600 x 720) and uses IPS technology. Keeping the lights on is a 4,000mAh battery which Motorola says is good for two days of usage. You'll find a 13MP main rear camera which is kept company by a 2MP depth sensor while the front-facing camera has a 5MP sensor.

The Moto G Pure runs Android 11 out of the box with Motorola promising an Android 12 update at some point in the future. There will at least be 2 years worth of bi-monthly or quarterly (notice how Motorola is hedging its bets here) security updates.

If the Moto G Pure ticks your boxes, you can pre-order the phone in the US directly from Motorola as well as the usual suspects such as Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and B&G Photo for $159.99. It goes on general sale from October 13th with carriers such as T-Mobile, AT&T, Cricket, and Boost Mobile planning to have it on their shelves in the coming months.
