LG isn't just showing up to IFA 2026 with new TVs, it's showing up with a TV platform it wants to talk about as much as the screens themselves. The company is bringing its 2026 AI TV lineup to Berlin built around a new processor and a new security system.
What's new
The α11 AI Processor Gen3 is the centerpiece, LG's most powerful AI TV chip yet, claiming a 5.6-fold NPU performance jump over last year's α9 Gen8. It debuts on LG's OLED evo series and now extends to the ultra-large Micro RGB evo TVs too, driving AI Dual 4K Upscaling and Virtual 11.1.2-channel AI Sound Pro.
Alongside the chip, LG is rolling out LG Shield, a security system built on seven core technologies covering everything from secure data storage to real-time threat detection. It picked up a CES 2026 Innovation Award in the Cybersecurity category before this IFA showing.
