As we wrap up our review of the OnePlus Nord, the brand is reported to be targeting the affordable smartphone segment with a phone that could cost around $200, sporting a humongous battery. Codenamed “Clover”, this new OnePlus handset is rumored to be coming to the US, unlike the recently announced Nord.
According to AndroidCentral, this OnePlus “Clover” will feature a massive 6,000mAh battery that is said to be good for two-days usage with 18W charging. It's reported that the “Clover” sport a good-sized 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with 720p resolution and probably a 60Hz refresh rate, although it may be 90Hz because of the lower resolution. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 460 chipset, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage, as well as support for MicroSD cards.
There will apparently be a trio of rear cameras consisting of a 13MP main sensor and two 2MP sensors which are probably of the Macro and Depth-of-Field variety. The rear panel will also house the fingerprint sensor while a 3.5mm audio jack is present on the top of the phone.
The roughly $200 price tag would take the OnePlus Clover into budget smartphone territory, an area that is dominated by Motorola and Samsung in the US. If the information is indeed correct, do you think this is a good move for the OnePlus brand?
