It's great owning a phone that can charge from 0-100% in 38 minutes flat, but I can only achieve that speedy recharge by using the propriety charger and cable that is usually included in the box. Brands such as OnePlus, Huawei, and even Samsung, all use their own quirky charging technology adaptations, which usually means carrying multiple adaptors when traveling. But what if a single charger was made that could support all those charging technologies and more? Impossible, you might think, but apparently not because Chargeasap's Omega 100W and 200W GaN USB chargers support a multitude of charging standards, and are the world's smallest chargers to do so.

Around the size of a credit card, although substantially thicker, the 200W Omega charger from Chargeasap weighs just 220g and is able to quick charger 4 devices simultaneously. The 100W Omega charger weighs in at just 120g and is roughly the size of a box of Eclipse mints, even shorter than a credit card, which is insane.

You can plug in two 16-inch Macbooks which will charge at full speed at the same time and there are 2 x USB-C ports and 2 X USB-A ports on the 200W charger, and 2 x USB-C ports and 1 X USB-A port on the 100W variant, both of which support the following charging standards:

  • QC 3.0
  • Apple Fast Charge
  • Power Delivery 3.0
  • AFC
  • VOOC
  • SCP
  • FCP

Both the 100W and 200W chargers have prongs that can plug into outlets both vertically and horizontally, and come with a range of plugs to suit just about any locale. Chargeasap's Kickstarter campaign for the Omega 100W and 200W chargers has long passed the original target of $10,000, with over $600,000 raised so far. The campaign finishes on October 10th with units scheduled to begin shipping from January.

You can back the Omega 100W on Kickstarter for $49/£36 or the Omega 200W for $75/£60, or wait for them to hit retail outlets with the expected RRP of $99/£79 and $149/£118 respectively.
