Shoploop

If you love watching influencers using and recommending products on Instagram or YouTube and then searching an online shop for that specific item, Google's new Shoploop service aims to simplify the multitasking process by bringing it all together in a single app. Shoploop, from Google's Area 120 section, is a video shopping platform for discovering, evaluating, and buying products, all in one place.

YouTube video

With videos shot in portrait mode and lasting no longer than 90 seconds, Shoploop's content from content creators, publishers, and online store owners will advise you on which products to buy in categories such as makeup, skincare, hair, and nails.

Once you've found the product you want, you can save the listing to buy later or go straight to the merchant's online store to place the order. Much like Instagram and YouTube, once you've found a content creator that fits, you can follow them and share their videos with your friends and family.

Shoploop is currently only available as a mobile-optimized web site, although Area 120 is working to bring it to desktop users soon. Is Shoploop something you will use?
