There's been quite a fuss with AT&T and consumers over the HSUPA modem being ‘turned off' within they Motorola Atrix and the Inspire 4G. We know that these devices, particularly the Atrix are capable of upload speeds far more than 300Kbps, which was thought to be a cap placed by AT&T. We learned that it was not a cap, but rather the HSUPA itself not being on through the firmware.

In a twist of events, AT&T has now stated to BGR that they will be releasing an update next month that turns the HSUPA modem back on, thus allowing the Atrix and Inspire 4G to utilize the true 4G speeds they were designed to cook with. Way to listen to your peoples AT&T! We'll keep you posted when the update is scheduled for an official date.
