Huawei looks set to announce EMUI 10 during its Developer Conference in August 3

Having launched the P30 Pro back in March sporting the EMUI 9.1 interface, Huawei is apparently gearing up to announcing version 10 during its Developer Conference keynote in China on August 9th. While details are scarce on we can expect to see with EMUI 10, there are a couple of things that we can be certain of.

With Huawei also prepping the Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro, and Mate 30 Lite for launch sometime in October, and because nice round version numbers are usually reserved for big updates, we can expect that EMUI 10 will be based on Android Q. It's also likely that we'll see the addition of Android Q features such as Smart Reply, Quick Settings Panel, and overhauled permissions. Despite Google finally getting around to adding a system-wide dark mode to Android Q, the feature has been available for Huawei's OLED-toting handsets for a few years now.

We can probably expect Huawei to mention EMUI 10 at some point at IFA 2019 during its press event on September 6th, along with the launch of the Kirin 985 chipset with 5G connectivity. In the meantime, all Huawei has to do is keep on the good side of the US government to maintain its access to the Play Store and the Andriod operating system.
