The Huawei Mate 30 Pro is starting to take a few laps around the rumor mill, and today we're getting a good look at the case for the phone. Normally these kinds of leaks are pretty boring when it's for a phone that we already expect to look much like its predecessor, but Huawei is throwing a curveball with this one.
As you can see above, the back of the case shows a circular camera cutout for the rear camera system instead of the boxy and vertical camera arrangements.
Despite looking pretty Motorola-esque, this is pretty important because it'll give the Mate 30 Pro a distinctive look instead of blending in with the Galaxy Note 10 and iPhone 11 later this year. Apple looks to be running with a box module to hold its camera array, while Samsung's newest designs look strikingly like Huawei's old designs.
As always, take the leaks with a grain of salt. But if this pans out, Huawei is going to win a ton of points from fans for not following trends but instead trying to maintain a unique design.
