Google Assistant picked up the ability to make phone calls for reservations and appointments after Google showed off their Duplex technology last year, and it's been a pretty successful new feature so far. Google has been fine-tuning it, and now it's available on Pixel phones for users in the 43 states where Google Assistant can make phone calls.
To use the feature, simply ask Google Assistant to book a reservation at the restaurant you're interested in. Make sure to include the number of people going and what time frame you want the reservation at, and Google Assistant will make the phone call for you to get things set up.
After the call, you'll get a notification with your reservation details, assuming Google Assistant was able to secure an appointment that matches what you need.
This feature will be hitting Google Pixel devices first, but Google is working to bring this to more phones over the coming weeks.
