Keeping the kids and the other adults in the house entertained at Christmas time can be something of a thankless task, but if you have a Google Home device, you can count on some help from the Google Assistant. Whether the other half wants to watch a Christmas film other than Die Hard or little Johnny wants to know where Santa has gotten to on his rounds, there are tons of ways that the Google Assistant can bring some festive cheer to the occasion.
All you have to do is say the action words “Hey, Google” or “OK, Google” and then one of the following commands:
- What Christmas films can I watch?
- Tell me a Christmas joke
- What do Elves eat for Christmas?
- Where does Santa Live?
- Where’s Father Christmas?
- Give me a Christmas fact
- Give me a Christmas sound
- Give me a Christmas memory
- Tell me a Christmas story
- Interview a reindeer
- Sing a Christmas Carol
And, if that isn't quite enough, Google has also hidden some Easter Eggs:
- What are the elves four main food groups?
- Merry Christmas ya filthy animal?
- Do you want to build a snowman?
Besides the Google Home, Home Hub (reviewed here), Home Mini, and Home Max, you can get your festive groove on by issuing the queries to any Google Assistant-powered smart speaker you might own.
