Besides having its 2018 line-up leaked, Motorola has also launched a brand new Moto Mod for its Moto Z series of smartphones. Having launched a Moto Mod with Amazon's Alexa in late 2017, this latest option is called the Moto Folio, and it's basically a folio case that attaches to the phone via the magnetic connectors on the phone's rear panel.

Besides protecting both the front and the rear of the handset, the Moto Folio also boasts a card insert that will prove handy for a single bank or ID card. It has a built-in magnet to keep the case closed so it doesn't flap about and that is pretty much it other than it also adds 55 grams in weight and increases the profile of the phone by 3.5mm.

The Moto Folio Mod is compatible with all Moto Z series smartphones (including the Moto Z2 and Z2 Force) and is available directly from Motorola in Super Black, Fine Gold, and Grape Juice for $11.24. For the moment, it would seem that the Moto Folio Mod is only available in the US.
