Samsung in its latest earnings call spent some time assuring investors (and customers) that there's no defect with the Galaxy S8 display. This comes not long after some customers started voicing concerns of a potential red-tinted display problem.
It's not actually a flaw. Samsung actually has a color-tuner setting on the Galaxy S8 that can be adjusted to fix the problem. Despite that, the Korean tech giant is rolling out a fix to the lay the concerns to rest (along with a few other improvements and adjustments).
Still, during Samsung's earnings call, the company felt the need to make a statement on the concerns, further making sure that people know that this is not a defect:
“Due to the nature of Super AMOLED displays, there can be natural differences in color. Users can optimize the color depending on their preferences.”
All in all, there's no problem here at all, just a simple thing you can adjust using the color tuner in the Settings menu.
