HTC announced today the 10 Evo for the global market. The Taiwanese-based company launched the Bolt not too long ago as a Sprint exclusive, but now the company is bringing the Bolt to markets worldwide under a different name: the HTC 10 Evo.
Details after the break.
This device is virtually the same thing as the Bolt. You get an identical design, IP57 water and dust resistance rating as well as a metal frame.
Under the hood, you get some fairly impressive specifications. They certainly aren't cutting edge, but still powerful. You've got a Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM keeping the lights on. For camera-work, you're looking at a 16-megapixel rear sensor and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
For storage, you get 32GB as a standard model. But, there is a microSD slot, so you can potentially up that if you need more. It's got a fairly hefty battery at 3,200mAh, too. Software wise, you get Android 7.0 Nougat straight out of the box.
What might be the most interesting aspect about the phone is that HTC isn't partnering with anyone to help push HTC 10 Evo sales. This time around the company will be selling the HTC 10 Evo directly to consumers, exclusively from its online store.
It's worth noting that there's still no audio jack, and to compensate, HTC is throwing in a free pair of USB Type-C headphones in the box.
We have yet to hear details on specific launch dates, availability and a price. What we do know is that it will be available sometime this month in gunmetal, gold and silver.
