Taiwan FCC shows HTC and Nexus 9 in one database entry

Although there have been plenty of rumors and leaks surrounding the upcoming Google Nexus 9 device, including pretty heavy speculation that HTC is the manufacturer, nothing official has been announced. Even in an FCC filing for the device in the U.S., the alleged device only shows up as a tablet produced by HTC. A new entry from the Taiwan version of the FCC lists the model name for the HTC device as “Nexus 9” which is probably the closest to confirmation that HTC is producing the device that we will get before any official announcements are made.

The new Nexus 9 announcement could come this week during an HTC press event unless Google wants to make the announcement themselves later this month.
