Samsung-Galaxy-S5-Active-top-back-leftSamsung has officially released the Galaxy S5 Active for Canadian carriers Rogers, TELUS, and Bell. These carriers are all offering the device for $280 on a two year contract, and $700 off-contract, which seems to be a pretty steep price for the device.

The Active is considered shock, water and dust resistant, but based on reviews, it's more along the lines of shock, water, and dust proof. The tough rubber shell surrounding the device couples with Gorilla Glass 3 to create the most sturdy, reliable phones on the market. And unlike brick phones like the Casio Brigade, the S5 Active hides a beautifully powerful machine under its touch exterior. A 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801, 2 GB of RAM, 16 MP camera, and 2,800 mAh battery all serve to give you the best phone experience without the worry of its untimely destruction.

Are you going to be taking advantage of this deal in Canada? Or, if you're stateside, have you already snagged an S5 Active? If so, leave a comment below and let us know what you think!
