Unless you hid yourself from the world yesterday, you probably know about the two new iPhone models, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Neither brought anything all that new or exciting into play, but both do sport bigger screens than in the past (4.7-inches for the iPhone 6 and 5.5-inches for the 6 Plus). Now, following HTC and Sony's lead, Samsung are having their fun with the announcement.

Android users have been using large screens for years now, but iPhone users have been stuck with a maximum screen size of 4-inches. As Apple catches up on screen real estate, Samsung have tweeted a humorous image featuring a quote from the late Steve Jobs, who at one time said, “No one is ever going to buy a big phone” in reference to Android phones at the time launching with screen sizes above 4-inches.

I think its safe to say the market has changed since then, and it is necessary for Apple to release a larger iPhone to compete, but the image is still good for a chuckle. Now if Apple would bring something new to the table besides a larger display, maybe they'd be on to something.

  1. yo jobs where you at??? oh! that’s right jobs stuck to his guns till the end it was that fruitcake Tim Cook that decided to start copying Android little by little

  2. I get a little tired of the sanctimoniousness of Samsung. 3 years ago, no one was buying big phones. The “phablet” was a phenomenon that came out of no where. Samsung can ridicule all they want. As everyone trades in their Galaxy Notes on iPhone Pluses, Apple will be the one laughing.

    1. It didn’t come out of nowhere. It came because Samsung and other android oem’s led the way (along with a lot of hard work by engineers)

    2. So it came out of nowhere. No company produces them, the phablets just appeared. Right?

Or are you just spouting nonsense?
