Tablet/notebook hybrids seem to be a thing now. Windows devices have been doing this for a little while and it appears that it's now Android's turn to do so, although we did see one or two of these make their debut at CES. It's LG's turn this time as they announced a new tablet/laptop hybrid that comes with a 11.6-inch IPS (full-HD) touchscreen display with 10-point touch controls. It also comes with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. You'll also notice a giant Android home button at the bottom of the tablet.

The Tab book runs Jelly Bean (4.2.2) out of the gate and comes with Intel HD Graphics (44oo) and a fourth generation i5 4200 U (Turbo 2.6 GHz and a 3MB Cache). The tablet will support expandable storage with a microSD slot, but you may not need it with the 128GB SSD it packs. As for as other slots go, it will come with two USB 3.0 ports and a standard HDMI-out. The dimensions for the device are 286x192x16.7 mm and it will come in at 1.05 kg (about 2.3lbs).

So far, LG has only debuted the device on its home turf and even then, availability, pricing and the possibility of a global roll-out was not discussed. While some of the specs are decent, the fact that it's running a nearly two year old version of Android is a bit disheartening.
