Verizon Wireless is testing out a new program that allows them to deliver phones ordered from their website the same day that they were ordered. For now, the program will be only available in Philadelphia, but there are plans in place to expand to New York City, Dallas, San Francisco, and Pittsburgh. Basically, when a local store has inventory of a chosen phone, buyers can purchase the phone online by 10 a.m. to receive it by 7 p.m.

Customers will have to pay $20 for same-day delivery, which is just $5 more than the $14.99 charge for priority overnight delivery. Or you could of course drive to the store and purchase a phone for no additional cost.
