Google Phone - The Google Android Phone
Ever since the launch of the Android platform there have been rumors that Google would eventually bring their own Google Phone to market - a move that has until now been strenuously denied by the search engine giant.
From December, the rumor mill has been hotting up with reports that Google are now in fact gearing up for the launch of their first mobile handset, dubbed the Google Phone.
The device in question is still fairly mysterious, but the handset has been identified as the HTC Nexus One.

Manufactured by HTC, the Nexus One Google Phone is a fully touchscreen display and will featured the very latest Android 2.1 software.
From what we can gather so far, the handset is currently being trialled and tested by a number of Google engineers, and is expected to launch across the United States from January 2010.
Images of the handset are beginning to surface thanks to Twitter, with a number of tech blogs already sharing information regarding the handset.
Whilst details are thin on the ground, one Google developer revealed that the device would be unbranded and feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor, an OLED screen and running Android 2.1.

Currently there has been no official word from Google or HTC on the handset which is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2010.
