Oppo is prepping a new phone that's going to combine all of the buzzwords of 2018 into one device, for better or worse, along with some seriously powerful hardware that's even slightly higher-end than the current crop of flagships.
To be clear, there are two versions here, one of which will be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 710 CPU, and the other with a Snapdragon 845 chip with 10GB of RAM. Do you really need that much RAM on a smartphone? Oppo says yes.
But what about those gimmicks other cool features? The R17 Pro is rumored to have an in-display fingerprint scanner, a notched screen, and a triple-camera setup. That's pretty much every major new feature that we've seen hit the market over this past year, and this phone will give you everything in one go.
Otherwise, there's very little to talk about, since the phones technically haven't been TENAA certified yet, which is usually where most specs and hardware leak. But with a phone this intriguing, we're sure to hear more soon.
