Samsung has brought the July security update to the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, but there are a few other features worth mentioning besides just security patches. The AR Emoji function should work a little better now, but the camera has learned a new trick, too.
Originally the Galaxy S9 launched with 960fps video recording, allowing users to take extremely slow motion video captures in a decent 720p resolution. This update has reigned that in a bit, replacing the 960fps option with 480fps, at least in manual mode.
This means that instead of grabbing 0.2 seconds of action for a six-second video clip, you'll get almost half a second of action for a twelve-second video clip. That's arguably more functional for most users, even if the resolution hasn't increased.
If you absolutely have to have the incredibly high framerate, 960fps is still available in the automatic mode of the camera.
Rocking an unlocked model? You should expect the update very soon, with carrier models to follow shortly.

Um that sounds like removing a trick not learning a new one…
Especially in manual mode, why not let users choose?
