Motorola and Lenovo have had a rough year when it comes to leaks, with tons and tons of information and renders surfacing about their 2018 lineup well before any actual announcements. The only good news for Motorola is that we were already expecting a lot of these follow-up devices anyway, like the Moto Z3 Play.
This Z3 Play render shows off a device that pretty much everyone had some pretty good hunches about. It's sticking to the same basic size to keep compatibility with Moto Mods, but it's still going to be a slightly improved version of last year's model. You'll notice a dual camera system on the rear of the device, a larger screen with smaller bezels, and no home button/fingerprint scanner in sight, all in line with previous leaks.
We're expecting Motorola to ditch the front-mounted fingerprint scanner and build it right into the power button on the side of the phone, similar to what Sony has done with some international models.
The leak also suggests that the 3.5mm headphone jack will be axed with the Moto Z3 Play, which will be a first. The regular Moto Z line has never had the port, but the Moto Z Play models opted to keep the port and a slightly larger battery. That might be changing this time around.
