At an event a couple days ago, HTC revealed its new Eye Experience, a suite of selfie-centric camera tools and applications  that the failing tech giant believes to be useful, though I'm not quite convinced. The suite will be pushed to the One M7, One M8 and presumably other phones running Sense 6.0. For those of you who want to see it in action before its available, HTC has released five detailed videos outlining the features of the Eye Experience.

The videos show off some interesting features including improvements to video calls using Face Tracking and Screen Share. Face Tracking stabilizes the caller's image and in instances where there are more than two people in the call, it arranges the stabilized images in a grid-like fashion. Screen Share does exactly what its name implies and lets you share your screen with everyone in the video call.

The rest of the features are strictly for taking pictures of your own face and include Live Makeup, a creepy filter that makes your face look like CGI, and Face Fusion which literally lets you do selfie mash-ups. Auto Selfie and Voice Selfie are also demonstrated allowing you to take a photo simply by holding the phone still or saying a catchprase like, “Say Cheese!”. Finally HTC demos their Split Capture feature which lets you share what's happening from both cameras simultaneously. 1. You may think it’s a “falling tech giant”…but this is a killer business feature. The implications for road warriors are endless. Excellent news.
