We've seen the Droid X overclocked before, but this little app from “Unstable Apps” (oh the irony) makes overclocking your X or Droid 2 simple. As long as you have your phone rooted, you can load up DX/D2 Overclocker and max out that clock rate and tweak your voltage on the fly without any additional changes. It's $.99 in the market and available now.

Great app, had to play with the various options shown in the pic. When I selected 1.3 it rebooted my phone. the 1.2 setting was working and then start to randomly reboot. Then the 1.4 was not working and right now I am on the 1.45 and it is snappy and has been up without issues for over 3 hours.
I guess the morale to this is you might have to try different settings to find the one that works with your Droid X.
