Baseus had a couple of interesting accessories on show at GCS Shenzhen, and neither one is trying to reinvent the phone. Instead, the PicoGo Air magnetic power bank and Bowie MC2 clip-on earbuds are aimed at two very normal problems: keeping your phone alive and keeping earbuds comfortable for longer than a coffee run.
That might not sound especially dramatic, but useful accessories rarely arrive wearing a cape. They usually just make your daily carry slightly less annoying.
The PicoGo Air is a very slim magnetic power bank
The Baseus PicoGo Air, also listed in the media kit as the PicoGo AM71, is a 5,000mAh magnetic power bank designed around portability rather than huge capacity.
Its main selling point is how thin it is. Baseus says the power bank measures just 6.9mm, or 0.27 inches, which should make it easier to leave attached to a phone without turning the whole setup into a charging sandwich.
It is aimed primarily at MagSafe-compatible iPhones and cases, although Baseus says it can also charge AirPods, smaller Android phones, or another device via USB-C.
The power bank supports 22.5W wired output and 20W self-charging. Baseus says it can fully recharge itself in around 1.5 hours, which makes it more of a quick top-up tool than a weekend-away battery brick.
Baseus is also making a point of temperature control. The PicoGo Air uses a triple cooling setup with graphene, aerogel, and smart temperature monitoring, designed to keep things cooler during wired or wireless fast charging.
There is also an NFC battery check feature through the companion app. Tap your phone to the power bank and it can show real-time cell health, temperature, and safety status. It is a small extra, but it is more helpful than staring at four LED dots and pretending you know what they mean.
We expect the PicoGo Air 5,000mAh Qi2 power bank to launch in the US in the coming weeks. Pricing is as yet unknown.
The Bowie MC2 earbuds are built for open-ear comfort
Baseus also showed the Bowie MC2, a pair of open-ear clip-on earbuds designed for long wear and situational awareness.
The MC2 earbuds use Baseus’ CloudComfort 2.0 air-cushion design, with ultra-soft silicone and detachable cushions that spread pressure more evenly around the ear. Each earbud weighs 5.1g, and Baseus says they are designed for more than eight hours of comfortable daily wear.
Open-ear earbuds are never going to isolate sound like in-ear buds, but that is the point. They let you hear what is happening around you, which can be useful for commuting, running, cycling, office work, or pretending you didn’t hear someone ask for help moving a printer.
On the audio side, Baseus is pitching the MC2 as more premium than the usual open-ear fare. The earbuds support LDAC, Hi-Res certification, custom 11mm dynamic drivers, SuperBass 3.0, and upgraded BIAS Spatial Audio.
Battery life is rated at up to 11.5 hours on a single charge and up to 55 hours total with the case. A 10-minute quick charge can apparently provide up to three hours of listening.
The MC2 also includes four directional microphones with AI noise reduction and wind reduction for calls. There is multipoint Bluetooth 6.0 for switching between two devices, plus an AI assistant for translation, note-taking, and conversational help.

Takeaway
The Baseus PicoGo Air and Bowie MC2 are not wild concept products, and that is probably a good thing.
The power bank looks useful because it is thin enough to carry without planning your outfit around it, while the MC2 earbuds are aimed at people who want comfort, awareness, and long battery life over total noise isolation.
Neither product is trying to be the star of your tech bag. They are trying to make the rest of it work better, which is often far more useful.
