Are you an unwilling participant in a WhatsApp group or just tired of the persistent, incessant notifications of ultra-chatty members waking your phone up and generally annoying you? If the answer is yes you'll be glad to note that you can now mute WhatsApp conversations until Ad infinitum, or forever as most people would say.

I know that you already had the choice to mute notifications from a chat for a period ranging from 8 hours to a year, but there's something soothing about being able to choose the ‘Always' option, which coincidentally has replaced the Year option.
You can mute unwanted conversations that you can't leave the Android and iOS apps as well as the desktop app that will soon gain the ability to make voice and video calls. Make sure you have the latest version of the WhatsApp application installed on your device, and following these simple directions:
- Long press the single or multiple conversations you want to mute
- Tap the Mute icon on the top
- Choose the length of time you want to mute that particular conversation
- Sit back and relax knowing that your sanity is safe
How does it feel knowing that you can now mute these annoying conversations for infinity and beyond? Also, how many groups and chats are you planning on muting? Let us know in the comments below.
