Starting this month, AT&T will increase prices on select older unlimited plans. Single-line plans now go up by $10 per month, while multi-line plans increase by $20 total.
Customers will receive an additional 20GB of hotspot data as part of the change. No action is required to keep your current plan, but AT&T is encouraging you to explore newer plan options for potential savings or added value.
Your old Unlimited plan is getting more expensive
On a recently updated support webpage, AT&T announced upcoming price increases for customers on its older unlimited plans, following a broader revamp of its wireless lineup.
The carrier has introduced the 2.0 plans, and are now raising the cost of select retired unlimited plans starting April 2026. That includes the Unlimited Elite, Unlimited Extra, Unlimited Starter, Unlimited Premium (PL), and similar tiers that have already been replaced or discontinued.
Some Mobile Share plans are also affected, with pricing changes depending on how much data they originally included. They include Mobile Share Value, Mobile Share Value (Double Data), Mobile Share Plus, Mobile Share Advantage. These changes apply to customers whose plans were active before July 24, 2025.
The updated lineup includes Premium 2.0, Extra 2.0, and Value 2.0 plans, with varying levels of high-speed data, hotspot limits, and streaming quality.
To verify if your account is affected by the price increase. Go into your AT&T account and open the billing section. Pick a bill from around late March to April 2026. Then scroll until you find Read bill & payment info, news & offers.
Open that section, then tap News you can use. From there, look for anything that mentions a change to your monthly plan price. If you see it, your bill is going up. If you don’t, you’re in the clear.
One subscription to rule them all
AT&T is also introducing a new direction for how it wants you to pay for connectivity. The carrier launched OneConnect days ago, a bundled subscription that combines wireless service and home internet into a single flat monthly price.
AT&T is setting a new standard with a faster, simpler way for consumers to choose and purchase the connections that matter most. This is an important move to address feedback from our customers, solving the common frustration of juggling multiple bills for home internet and wireless services. In fact, 72% of customers prefer a single bill for connectivity across their devices, wherever they are, for a flat, predictable price.
The plan includes AT&T Fiber alongside wireless coverage for smartphones, tablets, and wearables, with taxes and fees built in.
The Individual plan is $90 per month and it covers one person, one phone line, up to three additional connected devices, and 1Gbps home internet.
The Duo plan is $120 per month for two phone lines, up to six data devices, and the same 1Gbps home internet.
The Family plan is $225 per month for up to 10 phone lines, 10 data devices, and 1Gbps home internet.
You can sign up in minutes and manage everything under a single subscription, rather than maintaining separate wireless and internet accounts.
The catch is that it only really works if Fiber is in your area and it's limited to new customers only. Plus, you need to bring an unlocked, eSIM-compatible phone already.
