Motorola was a little busy this weekend announcing some really nice phones for China. They started with the MT917 and XT615 a couple of days ago, and now the XT928 is official. We first heard rumblings of this beast back in July as the Dinara, and we saw a 13MP test photo in September. Is it the same phone? We don't know for sure, but it sure seems to match up spec-wise.
It features a 4.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, Gorilla Glass, and Android 2.3. As to the camera, Motorola says this is no camera phone, it's a “camera inside of a phone.” It features Wide Dynamic Range for enhancing photos by filtering bright and dark areas.
The “triple-dual” refers to the dual-core, dual-mode, and dual-standby. “Dual-mode dual-standby has been a winning formula with professional users in China who want both power and connectivity,” said Frank Meng, corporate vice president and president of Motorola Mobility, China.
Motorola says we will see the XT928 on China Telecom this December. What I want to know is when this will hit the US? Can you say DROID X3?
