Rumor: Dinara might be the next super phone from Motorola 5

The Droid Bionic has been one of the most anticipated Android phones for 7 months now. We may actually see it launch early next month, but now the questions of “should you buy or wait?” are going to come up yet again because rumors are starting to fly about a new device that has been codenamed as the Dinara. Motorola has been using mountain ranges for the codenames of their high end phones as of late.

The information that has been leaked is that it has an HD Screen, 1GB of RAM, a TI processor, 13MP rear camera, VGA front camera, and an internal/non-removable battery. It is supposed to look a lot like the Bionic, but will be much slimmer and lighter. It is expected to be available this winter.

The screen size is suggested to be larger because it will be closer to edge. I suspect that this will be because this phone will not have physical buttons. The need for physical buttons is supposed to be removed with Google's next version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich. The one advantage to that is a bigger screen on the same size device, so I am betting that the Dinara will be Motorola's first Ice Cream Sandwich phone.

It will be interesting to see if this phone will be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 this January. If that is the case, lets also hope that we won't have to wait another 7 months to get our hands on it.

For now we can throw this in the rumor file, but one thing we know for sure is, Motorola is constantly developing newer phones so some of the above information has to be true.
