Rumor Mill Churns Bad News For Galaxy Nexus Release 5

The rumor mill fired up early today when noted Verizon insider @P3droid tweeted that the Galaxy Nexus may be delayed past its expected November 21st launch date and pushed to December. Soon after, others interposed similar statements, attributing the bad news to Verizon’s want for more testing and working out some minor bugs. If you believe everything you hear out of the rumor mill, this is very bad news indeed. This next round of testing is said to end on November 19th, so while hope may not be completely lost on a November launch, we should probably ready ourselves for a few more weeks before we get our hands on the new Nexus.

  1. Even if they are playing favorites, I for one am not getting the Razr, so they can play all they want, I’m not falling for that. I’m patient. =P

  2. That’s not completely bad news. I mean,if its to work out some bugs, then I’d rather wait and get a great product, than have it rushed unfinished and buggy.

  3. Its a pathetic attempt to try to create more sales for the Razr. Verizon’s is playing favorites with Motorola and wants to create problems with the Nexus so they don’t release the Nexus for a while.

  4. I just wish they would’ve released these phones together so that the customers could have a REAL choice. What happened to competition? Get these phones out there and may the best phone win IMO. And like Curt said I do believe they are tryin to get more RAZR sales. The Droid line is their baby so that comes first… SMH…

  5. I knew this would happen. I only had 30 days to return my Bionic and I was hoping I’d have a choice between this and the Rezound. The Rezound wins and the RAZR was a no-go from the start because of the battery. At least with the Rezound I can buy an extra one. Hope ICS comes soon for it, even tho I dread HTC updates (messed up my Evo twice). I just can’t win I guess…
