Everthine is debuting A1 at IFA 2026, where the desktop 3D AI companion is making its European debut. On the show floor, the device gives its character a curved OLED screen, a set of room-facing sensors and memory that carries across conversations.
The screen is the character's home
A1 uses an 8.01-inch curved OLED display for real-time animation. The character makes facial expressions, gestures, speaks and reacts to touch. Users can rotate it to see different angles, and the curve adds depth as the viewer moves around the device.
Everthine says the companion remembers people, personal facts and past discussions across sessions. It can also identify familiar faces and pets it has seen before. That history feeds a personality designed to develop gradually while maintaining a recognizable character.
There is plenty of hardware inside
The desktop unit includes a six-microphone array with sound-source localization, front and rear cameras, a 10W speaker, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Sensor input provides context about the room and the person speaking. At launch, proactive interaction starts with the character greeting a user first; broader context-aware check-ins are planned for later software updates.
A physical camera shutter and dedicated microphone switch provide visible ways to disable the sensors. Everthine says conversations are end-to-end encrypted, will never be used for AI model training and can be permanently deleted along with memories, characters and account information.
The app keeps the same character nearby
An Everthine app for Android and iOS will support text, voice and video. Once an account is bound, the same character can continue across devices. Users can also keep different characters active on separate devices. The software is scheduled to launch before A1, with both release tracks targeted within 2026.
Everthine plans support for English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Japanese at launch. The app will include a free plan and two optional premium plans. Character creation, added scenes and outfits, skill modes and mini-games are scheduled to expand through software updates.
The service is intended for users aged 18 and above. Everthine says the interface will display a persistent notice for AI-generated content, while sexual interactions are not supported. If the system detects language indicating a potentially dangerous or crisis-related situation, it can provide information for contacting emergency services.
These safeguards are part of a broader attempt to make the A1 a persistent digital companion rather than simply another voice interface. Its appeal will ultimately depend on whether the combination of memory, personality and a visible character adds enough value to justify having a dedicated AI device in everyday life.
